Privacy Policy
Last updated 2026-07-13. This page explains what information NYC Public Adjusting collects, how we use it, and your choices — including for calls and text messages.
What we collect
When you contact us — by phone, text, our website forms, or our client portal — we collect information you provide directly, such as your name, phone number, email address, property address, and details about your insurance claim and damage. If you become a client, we also collect information related to your policy and claim as needed to represent you.
How we use it
We use your information solely to provide public adjusting services: reviewing your claim, communicating with you about your case, scheduling inspections, preparing and negotiating your claim with your insurer, and responding to your questions. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
Calls and text messages
If you provide your phone number — by submitting a form on this site or by calling us — you agree that NYC Public Adjusting may contact you by phone or SMS/MMS text message about your inquiry or claim, including appointment reminders, document requests, and status updates. Message frequency varies based on your claim. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving texts, or HELP for help. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of using our services.
Who sees your information
Your information is accessible only to NYC Public Adjusting and, where necessary to service your claim, trusted vendors you've approved (such as repair or mitigation contractors) and your insurance carrier, as part of representing you. We use reputable technology providers (such as our case management, email, and phone systems) to operate our business; these providers process data on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.
Data retention & security
We retain claim-related information for as long as reasonably necessary to complete your claim and comply with recordkeeping obligations under New York insurance law, then in accordance with our standard retention practices. We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your information.
Your choices
You may ask us to stop contacting you, request a copy of the information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, by contacting us at the information below. You can opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP.
